Access denied or account blocked

If you are stopped from reaching part of Sales Scribe, the page usually tells you which of a few situations applies. Here is what each means and how to resolve it.

"No organization selected"

You need an organisation selected before you can work with invoices, customers and the rest. Pick one from the organisation switcher in the top bar. If you don't have one yet, Sales Scribe guides you to create your first — see Create your account and first organisation.

"Access denied"

You are signed in, but you don't have permission for that particular page or action. This is usually about your role:

  • Managing members, invitations, the plan or the billing profile requires the right billing-account role (Owner, Admin or Billing, depending on the action).
  • Changing invoice branding requires an Owner or Admin organisation role.

Ask an Owner or Admin of your billing account or organisation to perform the action, or to grant you the appropriate role.

"Account blocked" or "Trial expired"

These relate to your subscription:

  • Trial expired — your free trial has ended. Almost everything is blocked until you choose a plan. An Owner, Admin or Billing user can do this on the Plan page. The billing pages themselves stay reachable so you can upgrade.
  • Account blocked — your billing account's licence is suspended, cancelled or expired. Again, sort it out on the billing/plan pages, or contact whoever manages billing for your account.

See Your subscription and trial status for what each state means.

"This account has been locked out"

This is a sign-in security measure, not a subscription issue: too many failed sign-in attempts in a short time. Wait a little while and try again, or reset your password if you've forgotten it.
