Your subscription status

Every billing account has a subscription status that controls whether you can use Sales Scribe normally. You can see it on the Account Overview and Plan pages, next to your plan tier. This article explains each status and what to do about it.

The statuses

Status What it means Can you use the app?
Trial You are on the free trial that comes with a new account. Yes, with core features, until the trial ends.
Active You have a paid subscription in good standing. Yes — full access to your plan.
Past due A subscription payment did not go through. Yes, for now — update your payment method promptly.
Suspended The account has been suspended. No — contact support.
Expired The subscription (or trial) period has ended. No — renew to restore access.
Cancelled The subscription was cancelled. No — resubscribe to restore access.

While you are on trial

During your free trial a banner at the top of the app shows how long is left (for example "Free trial — 5 days left") with a Choose a plan link. Upgrade before it ends to keep working without interruption — see Choose or change your plan.

If your trial expires, you see a Your free trial has ended page. Everything you created during the trial is preserved. You cannot use the main app until you choose a plan, but you can still reach the billing pages to do exactly that.

If a paid subscription expires or is cancelled, you see an Account notice explaining the status, with a Renew Subscription button that takes you to the Plan page.

If your account is past due, the app keeps working but shows a warning: "Payment past due. Please update your payment method to avoid service interruption." Update it on the Plan page before it lapses.

If your account is suspended, contact support — this status is resolved with our help rather than by upgrading.

How to restore access

  • Trial ended, or Expired / Cancelled: open the Plan page and choose a plan. See Choose or change your plan.
  • Past due: update your payment method on the Plan page.
  • Suspended: contact support.

Note: Your data is never lost when a subscription lapses. Your invoices, customers and reports are preserved and become available again as soon as your account is active.

Troubleshooting

  • I can only reach the billing pages. Your trial or subscription has ended. Choose a plan to unlock the rest of the app.
  • I upgraded but still see the old status. Refresh the Account Overview; if it persists, contact support with your payment confirmation.
  • Someone else needs to fix this. Only Owners and Admins can change the plan — see Billing-account roles.
