Download or print an invoice

You can preview an invoice as a PDF on screen, download it to keep or attach elsewhere, and print it from there.

Before you begin

  • You can preview and download both drafts and issued invoices. For an issued invoice, Sales Scribe serves the archived PDF that was captured when the invoice was issued.

Steps

  1. Open the invoice from Sales → Invoices.
  2. Select More, then:
    • Preview PDF to view it on screen in a pop-up, or
    • Download PDF to save the file.
  3. To print, open the preview (or the downloaded file) and use your browser's or PDF viewer's print command.

What happens next

  • The PDF opens or downloads with your invoice branding and details.
  • For an issued invoice, the PDF is the exact copy archived at the moment you issued it. This is the same file that is attached when you email the invoice.

Important notes

Note: Because an issued invoice's PDF is archived at issue, later changes to your Invoice Design (logo, colours, template) do not change an invoice you have already issued. Its PDF stays exactly as it was. Only new invoices pick up the new design. See How branding is applied and preserved.

  • A draft has no archived PDF yet, so its preview is generated from your current design and may change if you edit the draft or your branding.
